Manchester Linux Users Group (ManchLUG)

Join us on Tuesday January 25th for ManchLUG. This month we have no set topic. This will be a social gathering of Linux enthusiasts unless we have enough people interested in doing a round of lightning talks on various subjects.  Contact Kenta if you'd like to do a quick 5-10 minute presentation on a topic.

Schedule:

6:30 PM - Casual pre-meeting, food + drinks. (Eat, Drink, Geek-out)

7:30PM - General announcements followed by POSSIBLE "Lightning Talks"

When you enter Wings Your Way  go to the left side of the restaurant or ask the hostess to direct you to the function room.

Parking:

It's Manchester so we're going to brief you on parking. According the City of Manchester Parking Division website, they provide this Google map which show a number of parking meters which are free after 5:30PM.   Many of these spots, including a larger lot, are located behind the meeting location. If you're parking in the larger lot, only locations with meters should be used (primarily along one side of the lot). 

Weather:

If the weather looks like it will be frightful, the penguins will be delightful, however... the meet will probably be cancelled.  In the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather we will attempt to contact anyone who's signed up via Eventbrite.  We will also post cancellations on our Twitter and Identi.ca feeds and email the GNHLUG announce list. 

Sign-Ups:

There is no cost for this event and you don't have to sign-up via Eventbrite to attend, however we appreciate it if you do. Why? The location we've chosen will comfortably hold 20 people, 25 slightly uncomfortably, and at 30+ we'll be packed in like sardines. We don't want to turn anyone away, but at some point the chairs will run out, expect to stand. It will help us to know how many people are coming so we can warn the venue.
